This compound was prepared by the reaction of diphenylchlorophosphine with
powdered sodium acetylide in THF, followed by low temperature reaction of this
intermediate with one mole of n-butyl lithium. This intermediate was in turn
reacted in situ with a second mole of diphenylchlorophosphine.
